RJ a person can also use campfire ashes overtop a dumping mess. We had a cesspool of an RV dump site near a beach down here. I took an empty 20 lb propane pot (can't de done with today's OPD valves) and dumped about a teaspoon's worth of odorant oil residue atop the olfactory reactor pile.
It took them a few days to figure out where the "propane leak" was coming from. "Pardon me, would you happen to have a 3-1/8" 1-inch drive socket I can borrow?"
But of course! Six or twelve point? Regular or deep?"
"Excuse me, would you happen to have a shovel?"
"Shovel? Shovel? Are you nuts?"
