About to take the leap from 1 12V Group 24 to a pair of 6V. From what I have seen the price is not bad. There is always a cheaper price some where, but in your case free shipping is a big plus. Be sure to turn in the old batteries at the same time.

I paid around $350 for a pair but did not have a trade ins which will run up the price.

You can get equivalent batteries at Costco or Sams for just over half that, as reported on this forum.Note that Interstate 6s are now made by Trojan with the same 225AH, and Costco or Sams are reportedly selling those. Sam's club has had a couple of sales on GC2 batteries. Are they Trojans, no, but at $90 each, a much better value. they should have a 1 day sale in the next month or so, and that's when the GC2 batteries go on sale.

My group 24 that I have now is a Duracell from Sam's and has held up well for 3 years now and has been superior to the previous Interstate battery I had. Do you or anyone else have experience with this particular Duracell GC2 battery? As I would not be opposed to buying these either. I just need more AH for boondocking overnight at rest stops etc. while traveling from park to park.

I have had Trojans and now Sam's club. Trojans will not last twice as long as Sam's Club which is 1/2 the cost. How you maintain the batteries will determine has long they last. When my Sam's Club batteries finally fail I will by another set.

Sounds like I am going to stick with the Sams club GC2's then....you hear so much about how the trojans are superior but in reality I guess they are not. :C

I used four Sams 12 volt rv / marine batteries in series to Power a 48 volt Ray outboard motor. I used an Lester industrial charger which finished at 61 volts on every charge. I bought them in 2008 and one failed in 2009 under warr then I replaced one in 2016 and 2017. I sold it last summer with 2008, 2009, 2016, 2017 batteries and they served the new owner all summer. These had also been run down very low a few times when visitors left an inverter on. They were never low on electrolyte.
