The amps calculations on the last two lines are allowing for inverter inefficiencies, but even without that the 12 volt unit more efficient. The two lines are also based on actual measurements that I've made.

Yet, it is efficient at emptying your pocketbook :) Out of curiousity, do you think this would last about the same, longer, or less time than a conventional unit?
