Still does and VHF low starts at around 56MHz VHF-HI I'd have to look up but 170 or so sounds about right
The Old Winegard Batwing (Sensar II and III) are rather good in the VHF bands but more and more TV is moving to the UHF.. Add a WINGMAN and the UHF performance is greatly improved (Best in the business improved) add a Sensar Pro indoor module and it's better still.
IF there is no crank up and no direcitional control then you either have a Rayzr auto (Not sure about those and SERIOUSLY DOUBT you have one) or an Omni antenna like the Winegard Flying Saucer or the Jack Omni. both of which are junk.
You need a directional and more gain is better, The Sensar IV is what I'd suggest with the Sensar Pro inside.
