I made a few mods to our Refer to improve its cooling function.
A couple of sample images.
I made a few mods to our Refer to improve its cooling function.
- Replaced failed external fan thermistor with an attic fan thermostat from Lowes
- Replaced the OEM external fans with Magma 12CM Fan Magma Component Twister Bearing Detach Blade
- Added R-Max Iso board insulation to the rear of the refer and the inside of the slide wall.
- Installed a 100K pot from Radio Shack in series with the chill box internal thermistor to fool the control board's temp sensing
