Two of these and we could boondock for....

I just need to get honey to drive the pick up behind me to carry the tanks, :)

  • I flushed out a Queen-size water bed mattress and used it for utility water. Water was a 50 mile drive in some spots.

I have a friend that does that They take 2 trucks. One with a toy hauler another with a goose neck flatbed with one of those up on the deck and quads & dirt bikes on the back. A family of about 10 so it works well for them.

But ... BOY would those be big dump runs!!!

BTW, I see very little traffic in the forums on using RV solar power to run those compressor water supply systems that rapidly condense potable water from the air.

It seems like this would be great thing to add to one's RV instead of water tanks.

Here's one, but there are others that perhaps could be adapted to RV use: http://atmosphericwatersolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/AquaBoy-Flyer-PDF-2.pdf
  • Luckily 720w of tracking solar means that bad boy will never be needed. The only hours on my new generator are only monthly exercising so far.

One of those tanks for fresh and the other for waste plus the 60 gallons we take on board would last us a few months. We could camp all summer on just two dump runs. lol

In conjunction with the added water supply, maybe one of these for better power supply. :h

    65KW - Diesel
  • Realistically the 60 gallons we take up is more than enough for the up to two weeks we camp. I would like to add just for the comfort level, but these tanks are a bit excessive.
  • I do have a 25 gallon tank in the back of the pickup with a 12v transfer pump (have a TT) and with the TT tank full plus 25 gallons we can go a long time without needing additional water.
