Ultraheat less expensive alternative?

Looking for suggestions for less expensive alternative to ultra heat 12v self regulating cable?

Have an outdoor pump that I want to wrap the pump head with and also about six feet of pipe.

Looks cheaper to buy generic 120v stuff and a small inverter.
  • If you have plenty of 120v power, that is the easier solution. If you don't have hookups, I would stay with 12v -- that way you don't need to turn on the inverter.
  • Here is self regulated 12 volt heat cable on ebay.Heat cable
