Hey Chris, or anyone...
I replaced the unit just as described in last post above (also Camping World verified application with Dometic).
After my installation, the T-stat will not display anything, and the Dometic "initialization" process does not bring it to life.
I replaced the control box and T-stat a second time, still same problem.
Is T-stat device failure a common problem on this 3-wire version from the factory?
Any trouble shooting tips would be appreciated.
I have verified wiring schematic, voltages, continuity on cables and connections... nothing wrong in my installation (that I am aware of).
Next step is dump it off at Camp world and pay to have them deal with Dometic instead of me. Dometic customer (tech) support gets a "one star" rating from me after three days of emails and phone calls. :(
Thnks

No offense, but it is YOU that is the problem. The Single Zone wall Tstat is used in hundreds of thousands of RV's and IF you know how to connect it, it works just find. Dometic Tech service is NOT for YOU. It is for qualified RV Technicians and your post shows WHY they should not have talked to you. You blame Dometic when it is your lack of knowledge that is the culprit. Trust me, your install is the problem. It is just 3 wires from the control box to the wall tstat. From your description, you have failed to get the 12 volt power control wire to the correct wires on the upper box. Doug
