Instead of fan pulling/pushing air out top vent cover use it at bottom of fridge blowing air UP
With fridge in slide-out it NEEDS air flow in order to properly cool
IF by morning food section temps not down into 38*f-42*F range then cooling unit may have developed a blockage due to overheating which is permanent.
Hopefully the alt. fan works
A fan to circulate air inside food compartment will help..........WHEN the cooling unit is properly working
Until fin temps get down to 26*F or so food section will not cool down sufficiently for safe food storage
I'm concerned that blowing air in from the bottom will interfere with the gas flame. We have the fridge on propane because on 120V AC the heatpump won't start due dropping voltage. We are on the edge of 30A service here. And with temps in the mid 80s and 85% humidity we need that heatpump during the day.
The fins are cooling. They were slightly iced this morning, fin temp using the IR gun was 33.4 Now, three hours later, it's at 28.
But I do think it's getting close to residential fridge time. Hope it lasts until we get home.
Will NOT affect the LP flame. Doug
Thanks Doug. Will it cool better blowing in from below than out from above? And should I leave the vent covers off?
