I have found that the side in the sun is always 10 to 20+ degree's hotter.
True story:
I use a "Gen-turi" Generator exhaust extension.. Well one weekend I was providing electricity for an "Event" and we were set up in a park. The park "Ranger" (representive) ask how hot the pipe got... At that point the Genny had been running for at least an hour.. I went over and wrapped my hand around it and invited him to do the same (Very warm, Think hot bath)
Well one day at a Wal*mart it was HOT, I mean HOT, so I hooked up the Gent-turi fired the genny to run the Roof A/C's for Kitty and Katty (Amber and Alex our house cats) the Genny was on the south side of the RV, overheated and shut down (House did not overheat) Even with the genny OFF the black pipe was too hot to handle. Just from the SUN.
So yes the sunny side gets HOTTER.. big time.
