Ups agm for rv?

I have access to some 10 year rated ups 12 volt 400watt agm batteries. They are 6 years old. I believe 102 ah. C&d dynasty. How would 2 of these be in a 5th wheel maintained by Pd 80 amp 4 stage charger? I currently have usxc 2200 6 volts but I think they are failing.
Thanks
Paul

Re-read the advice above to avoid disappoinments. UPS batteries are designed for long lifespan limited weight-lifting and an eating diet as fussy as a Vegan's. Compromise city. IMHO it's worth the effort if a person is aware of the trade-off's. One third extra amp hour capacity and a willingness to put up with Vegan recharge fussiness in the land of Automatically Erroneous Recharging. Means reading and listening and several folks here on this forum have worked out a lot of the bugs for you.
  • my previous set of AGm were CD and lasted 5yrs of full time use

my new to me surplus telco ups AGms were bought last summer and are working great (different brand)

IF you can get access to a load tester, you can test them and get the ones with the highest reading

but properly maintained telco UPS AGM batteries are a good buy

CD technologies dynasty is a know good brand
  • Hi,

I have used telecom batteries. They do require a fairly specific charging routine. I would suggest getting an inverter/charger such as a Magnum or Victron that allows the charging voltages to be custom set.

You will need to research them at the maker's web site.
