- dewey02Explorer IIShort answer is Yes. Ours goes off everytime I winterize and pour RV antifreeze into the P traps. Has done this for 3 years. Just air it out and it'll go back to acting normal.

Add smelly feet/socks to your list.
Grandson put his feet next to the detector and within a few secs.. set it off.
