Help my poor tired eyes here....
To buck voltage from 12 volts and change to 8.00 volts takes a BUCKING DC to DC converter. Voltage adjustable

It would need a second potentiometer on the board to set AMPERAGE cutout. In the case of a GC that would be an amperage setting of 11.0 on the amperage potentiometer to agree with 220 ampere hours capacity.
You can see the second pot on the 600 watt booster gizmo.
