This isn't a trick question. I wish to take a "Short Course" in the reality versus hype of MPPT control... Users who have MPPT and can report real-life experience... Let's say I get a pair of panel...

My signature says most.
960 watts @40Vdc solar panels. This allowed me to use wire sized for 30 amps.
At 12.8 Vdc this equals about 70 Amps. Now at 70% efficiency I can get about 54 amps. In-full sunlight in the middle of summer in Arizona. Panels are flat. I no longer have to raise them.
Have I seen 5 Amps you bet. Do i live or come from Az. Yes.
I installed a residential refrigerator. System works great.
