Myself I would telephone FLUKE. I notice that only their very top of the line model has RMS capability. No data on sampling rate. Most techs work with public power to determine inrush. You do not have that luxury with a generator. Deviance from 60 Hz can skew readings to the point of uselessness. You need to monitor amps INRUSH and ideally voltage simultaneously on a reactive load to understand the relationship for Pf correlation. Hz droop should also be verified and accounted for.
My advice is to go to "The Experts" the folks who manufacture the devices and ask poignant questions regarding suitability of the device for the task. They may miss the fact that a small generator is involved. Be sure to elaborate.
