- westendExplorerInteresting alternative to a converter but if he doesn't use the controller for PV power, it could be done cheaper (as we all know).
One thing that always gets me is that he has the layout of everything about 90% there but misses out on a few things--#1. If you're about to locate electronic devices, it may be a good time to move that water pump. #2. Invest in some wire management hardware, there's no need to make loops of wire and tape them in pairs every few inches. The amperage limit is probably determined by what he wanted to pay for a controller. The 15 amps is probably adequate for the type of use he sees, I'm guessing no generator is ever used. - Kinda backward doing the power supply first and then contemplating actual solar panels.
Bit of a slow charge for running a generator. 30+ amp would have been better.
I don't get the switch. If it is programmed right the switch is redundant(and looks bad). - AlmotExplorer IIIYep. 25-30A is what he needs. I would say Rouge 30 but they don't make it anymore.
- MrWizardModeratori like the 'rocker switch' voltage selection for battery top off 'absorption'
the thing is he is limiting the charge output
15 amp controller, 14.4 amps xx volts less than 200w from a 360watt power supply
he needs a bigger size controller - pianotunaNomad IIIHe might have been better off with the Tristar 45 amp unit.
- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerUmmmm? Emergency repair?
