Since you believe what you are told, I am telling you to run your refrigerator on propane while traveling. Now that is out of the way. Your previous RV probably had a wind issue that kept blowing out the flame and causing the refrigerator to go into a fault mode. Try it with your new RV, if an issue just install a little baffle. You are making something easy and simple into something very complicated.
