Mex, it appears the tropical system moving at your present location will not be a Spinning windbag, but it will have plenty of moisture to lay down, and blow out the Mex1 in some areas.
The GFS weather model has significantly increased the green and blue and purple Blobbage (rain, rainier, and rainiest) over all of Baja and the desert SW.
It even indicates that the weak area of low pressure will deepen when directly over the Pennisula.

The weather models have done pretty poorly on all intensity forecasts of storms the last two years mostly vastly underestimating the intensity and the rapidity of intensification, but this one appears as if it is going to tap the huge stored Heat content of the Sea of Cortez, and spread the moisture and energy liberally all over the northern 2/3 of Baja and the desert SW.
While it is doubtful if this tropical system will strengthen into Named storm status, the moisture it is carrying might be able to accomplish the same damage with regard to the roads.
Might want to park the Toad on higher ground
