VCR....its maddness
My wife loves to go into Thrift stores when we are in different area's of the Country...I'm not much for it other than a few minutes to look over any electronic stuff they may have. In the past, I'd check out the old VCR tapes which could always be had for 50 cents to a buck a tape.
Make a long story short, after many years of collecting some old VCR tapes...finding a working VCR has become a problem. I have one in the motorhome which I've never used in the 15 plus years I've had it but the big surprise is just how much a VCR cost nowadays. Its tough to come by a player in the Thrift stores too. I know, who cares, but I just found it interesting that VCR's you could have had for pennies on the dollar a few years back, now are at prices they started out at in the very beginning. My thought in buying the tapes was if I became desperate, I'd watch one. (quality sucks, I know)….guess I'll have to start collecting the bit more expensive DVD's....:-)
I guess I see why the Thrift stores have so many VCR tapes available!!!
