i have an rv that i had registered in north carolina and had been paying my annually taxes.A year ago i had let my registration expire and moved it into a storage facility in tn.I havent registered it...

do you have it insured? I was under the impression that Insurance companies only cover vehicles that have current registration & plates on them.
I could be very wrong on that... but better to toss that out there for you to check.
