Venture landing gear problems

The landing gear on my fiver gave it up on one side, won't go up or down. Each side works independently, each has its own motor. Apparently, the gear box is shot. How hard is it to change and it there anywhere to buy them other than the manufacturer. Any help will be appreciated, thanks,Dave

  • I bought a complete spare from venture was easy to deal with the company. Just a note,on my HH they fused both legs with one 30 amp fuse and should have been a fuse for each jack is what venture told me ,I added a fuse so eaach jack motor has its own, I think your going to have to deal with venture. I now have a spare gearbox, jack leg and motor with harness.I did not end up changing anything but if you remove some of the wall covering screws it doesnt look to hard, just support the weight and be safe
  • Can you give me some more info on the ground control leveling system. Thanks, Dave
  • I tried rebuilding mine (with Venture parts)and I could tell that my fix wasn't going to last. I don't think they are capable of continuous use on some of the larger fifth wheels. I bought a "ground control" leveling system for mine which replaces the old landing gear. The new jacks are much faster and stronger than the originals.
