I'd get a plastic dart with a suction cup end. At one hour before solar noon I'd stick it on the panel and adjust for the least amount of shadow.
What I should really figure out is how to use all those watts from the system that are going unused while in storage mode. Old Hitech/Jim was thinking about crunching processing units and selling the processing for bitcoins. That's just too much infrastructure for an old cowpoke like me. Maybe run a Roomba vacuum on an inverter?:B
