In days of old I had that neat feature in a motor home.... A Wife.. Ok not always all that neat..
One day we pulled into a park and there was really only one acceptable site open, So I backed into it. Wife was not pleased and was harping that the woman plugged into the shared power pedestal was telling her "You won't be happy my voltmeter is always in the red") (fact is voltage was down in the 80s per neighbor's surge guard on occasion normally high enough to pass but often too low.
My voltmeter was always in the GREEN,
So why did I have green when neighbor on same circuit had red.
Shore----Inlet---Hughes autoformer---Transfer switch--RV
That is how mine is set up
Park rules in some parks prohibit Autoformer.. Which is why you need tools to lay eyes on mine. And of course the knowledge of where to tool.
Soon, I will modify as follows
Autoformer-----x x---Transfer switch
Autoformer---Surge guard---_Transfer switch.
This is a plug in mod. Once I get the Surge Guard modified for installation instead of plug in. (longer cords)
What advantage would it be to install a Transfer switch?
