Absolutely none. It is just something else to go wrong. My RV doesn't have one, and I would not dream of installing one.

No. They are no more cheating the campground by running an Autoformer than they are cheating the campground by running an electric element on a water heater or a refrigerator. If you want to think it is wrong, feel free. As for me, I may just go out and buy one after this thread showed how useful they are.
