Volt Regulator

I thought I would start here. Does the experience rv fulltimers feel that it is wise to invest in a voltage regulator. Such as autoformers or a rv volt regulator to keep and maintain correct volt from rv campgrounds pedestals connections? Is it a possible or common problem that people find at campgrounds?
  • If I was full-timing, I'd add one. The chances of an undervoltage situation get a lot higher if moving between campgrounds. The risk of losing a major appliance because of a bad hookup would be offset by the price of the autoformer.
  • I have never felt the need although I do have a volt meter and a polarity tester that I use before hooking up. Then when I finish hooking up I sometimes plug it into an inside recept.
