You must move the controller to be near the batts. Make the way too long wire path that now is your controller -battery path (using the old converter wires etc) into part of the array-controller path instead.
Now add a couple short wires ( #8 or better) to be your new controller-battery path. (pos wire on that new set of wires should have a fuse near the batts that will handle max expected solar amps plus a 20% margin over that) Or just jumper over to the Prosine close by and share its wires and fuse from there.
If you want to watch the controller light show or push its buttons, you will have to go to its new location to do that. Sorry!
BTW just finished four days at Rathtrevor, no rain at all---no need to be a rainbird this year. (No snow in mountains either--stand by for forest fires this summer)
