I think Mex is talking about the Hughes, which does have end user replaceable MOV's.
The Sola Basic is just that. i.e. BASIC. It is intended for running small appliances under 4000 VA and pretty much from what I saw would need to be hard wired. There is no attempt at surge suppression other than bucking the voltage--which really isn't a surge situation.
