You can do some minor troubleshooting to get an idea of what you're dealing with.
* Using a multimeter, verify that the camera is getting power.
* Disconnect the reversing sensor lead to make sure that isn't shorted.
* Connect a portable DVD player to the video lead from the camera to see if the video signal is getting to the monitor.

You may want to make sure that it is still connected to the monitor. I thought that mine had went out, and the only problem was that the connection on the back had come loose. Reattached and all is well. JMO
