W-22 engine water pump

Question

I need to change the engine water pump. Does anyone know if it can be done with out removing the fan? It looks like there may be enough room to set the fan forward. If not I guess I will have to split the shroud and remove the bottom half to get the fan out. Anyone been there done that? 2002 8.1 in a Southwind. Thanks

Beware of a blade tip eating a radiator tube. I used to force decorative wall laminate then duct tape them. They always ended up scarred.

I know what you mean I had to add an extra bolt on the bottom of the shroud to keep the fan blade from rubbing it. Thanks for  the reminder. Marv
