wailing water!
Well we got the water sytem cleaned out and everthing seems to work....exept when we run the hot water we get a strangled wailing sound! Air in the system? New cartridge/washer needed? Thanks all

They are inside the nipple that screws into water heater tank.
You disconnect water line at fitting then remove the nipple/check valve assembly.
Replace with new nipple/check valve assembly
OR
Remove the internals getting rid of check valve and install a shut-off valve on line instead
