Hi wa8yxm,
I'm wondering about the transfer switch now too.
I had noticed some anomalies developing. On both shore power and generator power, the Magnum has a "wait" period before power is passed through. Lately I noticed that it would "click" and NOT transmit the power--then after a similar time frame it would click again and power would be available.
The Magnum has an internal 60 amp transfer switch, which should be more than adequate for a 30 amp RV such as mine. I've never liked transfer switches. I've tried to keep the loads as low as I can when connecting to external power sources.

On some RV's with 3,000 watt inverters a transfer switch issue can cause that to happen... I know of one it happened to... I was unable to figure it out
Some Transfer switches can swich in the Inverter or Shore or Mains, that is what he had... Mine can not do that, the inverter has a separate switch and that works much better.
