It shouldn't be too late to file a warranty claim with GW and ask for replacement of the other four. Unless the USB socket is clearly labeled with output current, most folks would assume that it is capable of use for common devices. This may not be a written law but the reasonable expected use argument is acceptable in many circumstances.
I would also consider reporting the failures to RVIA, they may not really have any power over manufacturers but they do try and keep the overall quality reasonable and if they hear of a lot of failures of this type, they might take some action.
I hope to read about what you hear from GW.
It could be that the mfg. is really a good one and just got a batch of one component that was bad and they don't test every divice for compliance.
