Was having trouble with Frig.

I have a Dometic Frig.in my Scotty Motor Home. Its a 1995 and still has the original Frig. It gas or electric. It work on gas but not electric. I ordered a board kit from Dometic and it came today. So I went out to the Motor Home and took of the cover on the board and check the fuse and took them out and clean them. They look good. Then I went in the MH and turn on the electric on the frig. IT WORK? I put water in the ice tray and we will see if it will freeze? Maybe I did not need the new board?

  • That is why you never just look at a fuse........you should always pull fuse, check/clean contacts (fuse & holder) then actually test that fuse will pass voltage.

5A glass fuse would be for electric element (3A for DC controls).
    Does element get hot?

Many times $$ have been spent when with a little testing 'none' is needed or very little $
