Water dripping from heater pressure relief valve

I just noticed this last night. I gave the handle one light tug and it stopped. But in general how big a pblm might it be and how much risk do I run if I don't fix it till after my current trip ends i...

They do wear out. This can be the source of the water pump running at random when no fixtures are being used.

You can live with it or replace it. Last one I bought was about $12.
