I bought the kit and used the hoses because I needed some additional hose length when I installed the accumulator tank. It was a large one or two gallon metal tank by Shurflow. I mounted the pump on the tank and then the tank on compartment wall with rubber between the tank and the wall. The large accumulator tank did a nice job of cutting down on pump always coming on. I don't know that the additional hoses helped any because the original hoses were soft so they didn't do a lot of banging on things.
