Water tank question
Hi everyone, I'm working on my very first DIY camper conversion, using a 2010 extended Ford E250. I have some questions about the clean water tank. I don't want to install a 12v level indicat...

Too many valves? Whoever heard of such a thing!!
You really don't need the one on the pump inlet or the one between the city fill & pump as long as you have a check valve on the city fill port.
If you just have one valve on the "City Fill Bypass" line, that should do fine.
Here's the scenarios I see for that valve:
On City Water:
1) City Fill Bypass closed, City water is used for faucets. Check valve in pump prevents tank filling.
2) City Fill Bypass open, City water fills the tank, closed faucets prevent anything else happening & pressure is similar on both sides of the pump.
Dry camping:
3) Pump runs, City Fill Bypass closed & City Fill Check Valve prevents water escaping out the side of the van.
4) If the City fill Bypass is open, the pump will just recirculate through the byass, not doing anything (and not shutting off).
I just looked at your latest drawing compared to the first one you posted. There's a lot more yellow now! :)
