- Matt_ColieExplorer IIYou think it is something as a picture, you should see it in person. It is a marvel to behold.
Seating for three in the cab and the way up is the circular stair case behind that door in the right front.
It has dual wheels front and back!! The front duals are on separate bearings.
The originals were built in 1939. The surviving were overhauled in the early 50's and all were retired by 1960.
One was bought and made into an RV, but I am told it was a failure. Most were in rough shape by the time two of the remaining were restored one at the National Truck Museum in Auburn and the other I don't know. We got to see it and play at the Gilmore in Hickory Corner MI.
Matt - rockhillmanorExplorer IIAnd just HOW would you see the cars on either side of you in that thing?
'Concept' vehicles rarely are street legal. I bet none of the 12 built ever saw the road being used as an RV running down the roads.:W

I for one won't buy another GM product EVER... gotta figure out how to fix my sig... now pull with a Tundra, built in Texas by Texans.. Don't get better than that!
Come on now, you know you love that Suburban. :) I had a 99 Silverado plain jane, 4.3 227,000 miles, $18,000 new. near the end because of 2 accidents that were not my fault I collected about $4,800 in ins money then turned it in on Obbie's cash fer clunkas program. It was an excellent value.
I think the best vehicle I have ever owned was a 1985 Chevy Nova which was the joint venture deal with Teeota at the Numi plant in California. 285,000 miles and still ran good but it was leaving massive rust stains on my driveway. Toyota makes excellent products. - Jack_Diane_FreeExplorerIf you watch the Barrett Jackson Auction on Saturday it will be on the block for sale.
