The other reason that 30a fuse can blow is from what it is called, "reverse polarity fuse". You may have the battery wires on the wrong posts. The lights would still work, but the fans would spin the wrong way around. And it would blow the converter's fuse(s)
The higher the amp rating of the converter, the more reverse polarity fuses it will have. Many RV converters have at least two. If only one blows, replace both anyway, is the usual rule on that.
