Went on camping trip,had a power surge at the campground,now my battery will work on lites,etc,but my electrical outlets don't work,We changed all the fuses but can not get and power to the 120 part,d...

How is the converter working if there is no ac power ??
I would dare to say the converter is not working, but only because there is no ac power to power it.
Therefore if lites and other dc stuff are working, its working off the battery.
The reason you see the ac wiring stuff going to the converter, is only because its all in the same box.
