Well the wfco just stinks.. Took 6 hours to get back to 13.6 volts.. ( from 13 volts I started timer)
Im going to do a hydrometer test in morning to make sure the batts are ok..
Yes to a poster they are sams club grp 24 duracells. Two on the camper in parrellel. The other one is a grp 78 exide in the truck. Truck has camper package battery. an isolater seperates the starting battery. This battery on exides site lists it as a 70AH battery..
So I have 220 AH's. ( I plug the camper to the truck to make it 3 batterys..)
My solar is usually sufficiant but I was in the woods and only sunny spot I could put the panel had 3 hours sun maybe.
It was hot on day two so I ran the generator to run the a/c for a bit... I figured the wfco would go into bulk mode but it didnt. I put a load on the battery with the inverter.
Everytime I flipped the charging breaker on the converter it kept reading 13.4 volts. Turn it off and batts read 12.3. Turn it on 13.4.. These readings were right at the converter lugs..
There is no way I know to get this to output 14.4 volts..
And as I said when I drain the batts real low by accident to 11.8 volts the converter did the same thing. Flip it on and it starts on 13.4 volts..
But thing it did when batts were low and trying to charge was it kept kicking on and off.. At first it was short 5-10 second intervals.. But it stayed on longer and longer each time till it finally stayed on..
Like it was feeding the batts high amps little by little until the batts could take it with out the converter going off on amp overload. ( I read it has that feature)
So reading on line many posts I think I want the PD unit This guy everyone talks about who recommends them.. ( Randy?).
This wild cat 55...
Anyone suggest anything else pros or cons?
Id really like to call wfco and have them tell me why thier converter dont work and why? Of how to get it in bulk...
