Well the wfco just stinks..
There is no way I know to get this to output 14.4 volts..
And as I said when I drain the batts real low by accident to 11.8 volts the converter did the same thing. Flip it on and it starts on 13.4 volts..
So reading on line many posts I think I want the PD unit This guy everyone talks about who recommends them.. ( Randy?).
Anyone suggest anything else pros or cons?
Best converter has awesome service. Yes a WFCO will go into bulk mode and stay there and I think they do so at more than 14.4 volts. How do I know? I have had two of them boil off all the electrolyte ruining the batts in the process. WFCO will replace the converter, you're on your own on the batts when that happens.
The RV manufacturers use WFCO not because they're great but because they're cheap. They stink because they are ****.
Another 12VDC side direct fit replacement (guts) for the WFCO is the Powermax Boondocker at Best converter which is a good piece but no option for a remote pendant like the PD unit.
