Anyone with a silverado will want to read about thier charging algoritom here..

Probably why my original ac delcos lasted 11 years.. ( they were sealed)

The six modes of operation include:
• Charge Mode
• Fuel Economy Mode
• Voltage Reduction Mode
• Start Up Mode
• Windshield De-ice Mode
• Battery Sulfation Mode
