Try to avoid WFCO if you actually want 14.4 volts charging. WFCO is notorious for not shifting to boost mode when expected. This especially true of the very common 55 amp rated version.
You are far better to get Progressive Dynamics with the Wizard or IOTA with IQ controller.
Powermax is good if plugged in but drops to float at about 75% charge. Too early for charging on generator.
Is there a particular reason you are looking at WFCO? lowest price?
8700 is the whole power center... is that what you need or do you already have a fuse/breaker panel?
