Don't know about price difference reasons. The 100LK is superior because of the adjustable voltage feature it has, and its possibly better reliability.
The Boondocker 12100 CL is the one I would have used. It has the adjustable voltage and the higher normal voltage in the multi-stage automatic mode (14.7 cause 13.8 doesn't get it) PM is blowing smoke because OEM only wants 13.8 so they don't have to replace batteries. We have bought 3 or 4 of them so far. Get with Randy and you get to talk to somebody at bestconverter (probably him). They also help with install. Most "experts" here don't need that or think important but we did and well worth the call.
