What does tire date code '5317' mean?
I was browsing some Class C's for sale and they posted a photo of the tire with this date. HUH?

"Date codes differ from mfg to mfg but the info above could be correct."
Beg to differ, sir. A portion of the DOT required alpha-numeric string can
be used by the tire manufacturer for his unique coding, however the last 4 digits must, by DOT rules for every tire requiring DOT marking sold in the USA, indicate week and year tire was manufactured.
