- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
See how you manage on a 15 amp shore power. If that is not enough then try a 30 amp-shore power.
How big is the battery bank and how many watts is the inverter? - 2oldmanExplorer III hope that beach is at the ocean so the waves will drown out the racket of a 5kw generator.
- LarryectExplorerIf the 5000 watt is 120/240, you may only have 2500 watts or so available to the 120 volt plug feeding the trailer.
I understand the Champion 3100 works pretty well. But, I don't have one. - eocamperExplorerI'm not sure on my inverter size. As for 30 amp shore power. It works fine if I don't run too many things at once. Breakers start tripping. I had a champion 3100 watt and it worked good on my old TT which was a KZ Sportsman with the window AC type set up. I got rid of the champion cause I felt it would not run this TT.

Depends on how much you try to run at one time. - 2oldmanExplorer III don't know what kind of rig you have.. not sure how you ended up with an All electric unit and no generator. Is this a 50a coach with an inverter?
- MrWizardModerator12kw diesel generator
Same power as 50 amp shore power
Might get by with 5000w
Get a pair of 3kw Honda or champion inverter generators - TomG2Explorer3,500 run/4,000 watt surge will give you the equivalent of the 30 amp service which is what your trailer is wired for.
- cmeadeExplorerJust a thought... CW sells a Champion 3800 dual fuel gas/LPG. 20lb bbq tanks are easier to handle and it has electric start and a 30A rv plug already. Has 3.5 gal gas tank if you want to carry gasoline. You could tee off your TT propane tanks with a shutoff valve and then no tanks needed??
- bgumExplorerYou can get by with 3000 watts 2800 continuous. It will run everything just not all at once.
