- Chris_BryantExplorer III find a hundred foot sixteen gauge cord does a great job of lowering the voltage :)
- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerThe Mexican standard voltage is 127 and you can bet your bootie many hundreds of rigs and many millions of homes live on that voltage plus or minus for years and years.
- LarryectExplorerAn EMS like the Progressive would at least shut the power dowwn if it goes too high.
- Triplite Line Conditioner LC2400 will correct voltage from about 95 to 145.
Although it is only 20 amps it would keep the RV at the right voltage for conservative use. - wa8yxmExplorer IIIThe major issue with ferroresonat transformers in my book is waste, they are not all that efficient.
There are a few different Autoformer companies... Hughes, Franks and I think one other.. ONE of them offers "Buck/Boost" that is it can REDUCE high voltage.. Alas, I think it's the other one but it might be Franks. - We_Cant_WaitExplorerOnly problem with the Sola Ferroresonant units is that looking at the spec sheets I could find no listing as to the AMPS the unit is capable of handling. In fact judging by the size of the unit it looks like it more for use with a computer etc, with a low AMP draw. Don't think it could be used to handle a whole 50AMP RV system.

I'd like to hear about a retail box that continuously regulates high voltage, not spikes. We are encountering more parks with high voltage (<125V) issues. I'd like to have the box lower the voltage (>130V), not just indicate/protect me from spikes of high voltage. My VOM tells me that.
Thanks
130v is ok
