One thing I recently learned is that caulking has an expiration date. I did a real nice caulking job around a tub, and it never dried. I did it over with a new tube no problem.
A caulking called " Through the Roof" is excellent and will never crack, but I don't know if it's ok for RV's. GE Climeaclear is a good one for RV's so I've been told.
