- HadEnoughExplorerDepends on the job you are doing and if you need to easily remove hardware later, etc.
Nothing wrong with silicone for glazing purposes.
Usually use 3m products in general. - path1ExplorerHonestly... after learning applying caulk is sometimes more of an art and lots of practice just like anything new ...
Doctor. But easier for you to use what OEM first used if possible; but not always easy to find out. - JimK-NYExplorer III initially used Geocel. Unfortunately I had problems twice. I got a couple of tubes at an RV hardware location. Then I got a couple more tubes by mail from Camping World. None of the caulk worked. It went on OK but would not stick well after curing. Maybe there was a bad patch and I just got unlucky twice. I switched to Dicor.
- MrWizardModeratori prefer 3M marine polyurethane
next in store brand polyurethane found in the roofing department
Avoid loctite polyurethane, takes forever to setup
still soft and sticky 24 hrs after application
not good for things that move like RV's - Gdub2ExplorerOn all my exterior openings I use Geocel
proflex rv it comes in different colors
Including clear but don't use on epmd rubber
roof. I use dicor self leveling lap sealant of
that. - BobboExplorer IIIWhile I use Dicor, my answer is ANYTHING WITH ABSOLUTELY NO SILICONE! Yes, I meant to shout. Never use Silicone on your RV. Ever.
