Have to remember that when they change the oil at the dealer the truck sits level on a lift. When do do it in your garage with the front up on ramps or jackstands, it's now sitting on an angle...so when the oil runs straight down, it's actually running toward the rear of the truck.
When I change the oil on the burb, I have to remove the splash shield...but the filter sits right about the front axle and tie rod, so oil hits those as it drips down and runs everywhere, just no way to stay clean doing that job.,...
